Manchester United to offer Donny van de Beek in striker deal?
Manchester United could reportedly include Donny van de Beek as a makeweight to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Red Devils have struggled to find goals from their strikers this term and both Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani have netted seven goals apiece.
Cavani's contract expires at the end of the season and reports claim that he wants to return to South America with Boca Juniors.
Meanwhile, there are suggestions that United could offload Martial, who is reportedly a long-term target for Inter Milan.
According to 90min, the Red Devils are unlikely to afford a straight cash move for Haaland as he could cost around £100m.
Hence, they are prepared to offer Van de Beek to lower the price tag and it is claimed that Dortmund may welcome the proposal.
Haaland has had a superb campaign with Dortmund with 33 goals in all competitions, but he could leave them this summer.
Manchester City are also interested in the 20-year-old and United may need to enter negotiations early to lure Haaland to Old Trafford.
