Kante suffers hamstring injury on France duty

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has returned to the Cobham training complex after picking up a hamstring injury on France duty.

The 29-year-old played the entire World Cup qualifier against Ukraine this week, but he was injured at the very end of the match.

After a medical assessment, it was confirmed that Kante had a minor hamstring issue and he has now returned to the club for further treatment.

Kante picked up a similar injury previously with France and it took him more than three weeks to return to the playing field.

The Blues will be hoping that he makes a quicker recovery this time around with a crucial Champions League tie against Porto next month.

Thomas Tuchel's side return after the international break with a home Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion on April 3.

Following this, they make the trip to Porto for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie, scheduled for April 7.
