Chelsea could pay £105m to sign Serie A striker
Chelsea could reportedly break the bank to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this summer.
The Belgian was previously with the Blues between 2011 and 2014, but he made only 15 appearances for them.
They came close to re-signing him from Everton in 2017, but in a surprise turn of events, Manchester United landed his services.
Since August 2019, Lukaku has been contracted to Inter, and he has been a quality performer with 61 goals from 91 games.
According to The Mail, the Blues are looking to sign an elite striker this summer with Timo Werner misfiring in front of goal.
Lukaku has been identified as the top target, and they are prepared to pay a club-record fee of around £105m to land him.
Inter are facing financial concerns at the moment, and they need to recover losses of £121m before June to balance their books.
They have been fancied to offload at least one star player, and Lukaku could head for the exit door at the end of the season.
