Everton planning shock swoop for Manchester City star
Everton have reportedly joined Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer.
Aguero has been with the Cityzens for the past decade, but he will leave them when his contract expires in June.
He has plenty of offers to stay in the Premier League, and The Star claims that the Toffees are among the clubs interested.
The Merseyside outfit have found a goalscorer in Dominic Calvert-Lewin this term, but there has been no real competition.
The club are unlikely to afford Aguero's £240,000-a-week salary, but they are prepared to offer a significant signing-on fee to land him.
Aguero has experienced a tough season with injuries, and he is no longer a regular starter for the Mancunian giants.
He recently scored only his second Premier League goal of the campaign as the Cityzens secured a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.
The Cityzens are just two points away from lifting the league title.
