Manchester United have been handed a boost in signing Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho during the forthcoming transfer window.

The England international was heavily linked with the Red Devils last summer, but they refused to meet the £108m price tag.

They were only willing to offer £80m for Sancho, and Dortmund were in no mood to negotiate over the valuation.

According to Goal.com, Dortmund could be prepared to offload Sancho this summer, and could accept a lesser transfer fee.

Amid the financial impact of Covid-19, they are looking to recoup funds, and could sanction Sancho's sale for £78m.

Mason Greenwood has impressed from the right wing lately, but United are still aiming to sign a new player for the position.

Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele has been linked in recent weeks, but they could also return for the services of Sancho.

Despite a slow start to the campaign, Sancho has registered 14 goals and 18 assists from 35 appearances for Dortmund this term.
