Liverpool to swoop for Udinese midfielder?
Liverpool have made contact with Rodrigo De Paul's representative regarding a potential move away from Udinese this summer.
The Reds are expected to sign a new midfielder, with Georginio Wijnaldum likely to leave when his contract expires in June.
De Paul has been on their radar, and FC Inter News claims that the club have made contact with agent Augustin Jimenez over a summer deal.
However, the Reds are not alone in the player's pursuit, and are set to face stiff competition from Serie A champions Inter Milan.
De Paul has had another fine campaign for Udinese, registering nine goals and 10 assists from 35 appearances across all competitions.
He has more than three years remaining on his contract with the Serie A outfit. Udinese plan to demand at least £40m for his services.
Leeds United were heavily linked with the Argentine during last summer's transfer window, but their highest bid of £30m was turned down.
