Tomori set for permanent Milan move

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori will make the permanent switch to AC Milan during the forthcoming transfer window.

The England international joined the Rossoneri on loan in January with the option to buy for £26m at the end of the season.

Tomori has since impressed for the Serie A outfit with 19 appearances to his name, and the club are now open to a permanent deal.

According to Tuttosport, the Rossoneri are prepared to trigger the clause on his contract following the end of the campaign.

The club were initially reluctant to do so, but their stance has changed amid the consistent performances from the Blues graduate.

The Rossoneri recently registered a stunning 3-0 win at Juventus. Tomori produced a superb display while scoring his maiden goal.

They are now in a strong position to secure Champions League football. The club are three points ahead of fifth-placed Juventus on the table.

Milan also have the head-to-head advantage over the Bianconeri, and need two wins from their last three games to finish in the top four.
