Manchester United, Everton keen on Arsenal midfielder
Manchester United and Everton have emerged as potential contenders to sign Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer.
Maitland-Niles was fancied to join Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, but he was convinced to stay by manager Mikel Arteta.
He started the current campaign with regular game time but soon after, Hector Bellerin was preferred ahead of him in the right-back spot.
In January, Maitland-Niles was on the radar of Southampton, but he opted to join West Bromwich Albion on loan to play in his preferred midfield role.
The England international will return to the Gunners in the near future, and it is claimed that the club would be open to selling him.
Leicester City and Leeds United have already been linked with him, and it is now claimed that United and Everton have joined the race.
However, the Premier League duo only view him as a right-back, and won't necessarily assure him playing time from the centre of the park.
