Aston Villa goalkeeper set to join Manchester United
Aston Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton appears set to rejoin Manchester United when his contract expires next month.
The 35-year-old graduated through the youth ranks at United, but failed to make a single appearance for them.
He has since had an impressive career, and has spent six of the previous seven seasons in the Premier League.
Heaton is expected to leave the Villans this summer, and The Mail claims that he will return to Old Trafford on a free.
Both Lee Grant and Sergio Romero will leave United when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Heaton looks set to become the club's third-choice goalkeeper next season, behind David de Gea and Dean Henderson.
United are scheduled to face Villarreal in the Europa League final tomorrow.
They are expected to be without Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial, who are sidelined with ankle and knee injuries respectively.
United will be aiming to end a four-year trophy drought in Gdansk.
