Cristiano Ronaldo tempted to rejoin Manchester United

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is tempted by the prospect of rejoining Manchester United during the forthcoming transfer window.

The 36-year-old had another top campaign for the Bianconeri, netting 36 goals from 44 appearances in all competitions.

He has 13 months left on his contract, and the Bianconeri are open to parting ways rather than losing him for free next summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have held a long-term interest in Ronaldo, but the Portuguese fancies an emotional return to Old Trafford.

According to Tuttosport, the 36-year-old could be included as a makeweight by the Bianconeri to land former midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba has one year remaining on his United deal, and talks over an extension have stalled over his wage demands.

He wants to become the club's highest-paid player at £400,000-a-week, but United are unlikely to meet his requirements.

On top of this, his agent Mino Raiola wants significant brokerage fees, and it appears likely that he could head for the exit door.
