Arsenal make opening £30m bid for Argentine attacker
Arsenal have made an opening bid to land the signature of Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia.
The Gunners are expected to bolster their attack this summer, and they have their sights on signing a creative midfielder.
Buendia has been on their radar over the past 12 months, and the Gunners have now made an offer of £30m plus add-ons.
The transfer proposal is expected to be rejected by the Canaries, who want at least £40m for the 24-year-old.
The club are open to parting ways with their prized asset, but want their valuation to be met by interested clubs.
They are prepared to accept a lesser fee up front, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners meet their demands.
Buendia had a superb 2020/21 campaign for the Canaries, bagging 15 goals and 17 assists across all competitions.
He has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to Argentina, and could make his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Chile.
