Liverpool leading race to sign Leeds United star?
Liverpool are reportedly ahead of Manchester United in the pursuit of Leeds United winger Raphinha.
The Brazilian joined the Whites from Rennes last summer, and had a good debut season with six goals and nine assists from 30 games.
He has three years remaining on his contract, but has been touted for a big-club move when the transfer window reopens.
According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, the Reds are leading the race for the winger ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, a deal remains complicated with the Whites determined to resist any offers for the player in the upcoming market.
Raphinha recently said in an interview that he is grateful to Leeds for getting the chance to play in the Premier League.
He clarified that he has no reason to leave the club despite being flattered by the interest from the likes of Liverpool and United.
Raphinha has yet to earn a call-up with the Brazilian national team.
