Arsenal to offload William Saliba permanently?

Saliba to be sold by Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly open to the permanent departure of William Saliba this summer.

Saliba joined the Gunners from Saint-Etienne for £27m in 2019, and he was immediately loaned back to the French outfit.

Last season, he was fancied to make his Gunners debut, but failed to do so before he was loaned out to Nice in January.

According to L'Equipe, Marseille have now made a loan offer for Saliba, but the Gunners prefer to offload him permanently.

Saliba has the preference to rejoin Nice, but it is unclear whether the south coast outfit can afford the Gunners' asking price.

The north London club are aiming to recoup the entire fee paid, but they may have to cut their losses on the 20-year-old centre-back.

The Gunners are in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Ben White, and have recently failed with an opening £40m bid.

They are expected to make a renewed offer. His arrival could give a clear signal that Saliba could be sold this summer.
