Arsenal in advanced talks to land £50m defender
Arsenal are edging closer to landing the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, Football Insider reports.
The Gunners recently failed with an opening £40m bid for White, which was followed by another unsuccessful offer worth £45m.
They are expected to continue their pursuit of the defender, and it is reported that their next offer will meet Brighton's valuation.
The Seagulls are looking for around £50m. The Gunners are likely to meet their demands amid high-profile interest from elsewhere.
Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation, and it has recently been claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race.
Les Parisiens have the financial muscle to sign White, and the Gunners are keen to seal an agreement at the earliest possibility.
White has already begun house hunting in the English capital, and he has told his close friends that he expects to join the Gunners.
White is currently with England at Euro 2020, but he is not expected to play any part over the course of the continential tournament.
