Norwich City complete loan deal for Billy Gilmour
Newly promoted Premier League side Norwich City have sealed a season-long loan deal for Scottish international Billy Gilmour from Chelsea. Gilmour caught the eye with an impressive display for his country against England during the Euro 2020 tournament.
Gilmour will move for the season ahead and it is understood there is no option for a permanent transfer next summer.
Speaking ahead of the move, Gilmour quipped: "I've been looking forward to coming here, playing as much as possible and helping Norwich City compete in the Premier League.
"I spoke to the head coach [Daniel Farke]. He called me and we had a nice talk about how he wants to play and how he sees me fitting in.
"Everything he said was what I want to do on the pitch, get the ball down and play nice football. He spoke really highly of his team and I wanted to come here and help."
Gilmour managed 11 games for the first team squad at Stamford Bridge last season and will hope to add to that after an impressive temporary spell with the Carrow Road outfit.
