Arsenal midfielder set for Marseille switch
Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has agreed to join Marseille on loan with a view to a permanent transfer next summer.
The Frenchman was deemed surplus to requirements last season. He spent the campaign on loan with Hertha Berlin.
According to The Athletic, the midfielder has now agreed to join Marseille on a temporary deal with an obligation to buy.
The French outfit are likely to pay around €2m for the loan deal. They will sign him permanently for around €11m next summer.
Guendouzi was also on the radar of some Serie A clubs, but he was determined to make the switch to Les Phoceens.
The Gunners have yet to confirm the deal, but Guendouzi recently did so on social media with a farewell message to the fans.
It was immediately removed. Marseille probably want more time as they look to prepare their Game Boy style presentation.
The French outfit have made a flurry of new signings. They have signed four players since the beginning of the month.
