Carlo Ancelotti wants Manchester United defender at Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has identified Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot as a potential summer target.

The Italian was keen on bringing Dalot to Everton last summer, but AC Milan won the race to sign him on loan.

He is prepared to try again this time with Madrid after rejoining them from the Toffees at the beginning of last month.

According to Sport Italia, Ancelotti is eager to work with the versatile full-back, and he has urged Madrid to make an offer.

They are likely to make a loan proposal for the Portugal international with the obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.

United are yet to decide on Dalot's future despite having numerous players, who can play in the right and left-back roles.

The club have Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams and Axel Tuanzebe as the options for the right-back position.

On the opposite end, Luke Shaw is the undisputed starter with Alex Telles being the back-up choice over the past 12 months.
