Arsenal cool their interest in Houssem Aouar
Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The 23-year-old was one of their top targets last summer, but they were unable to land his services.
The club were prepared to pay €35 million, but Les Gones refused to accept anything less than €60m.
Aouar is now available for just €25m with the French outfit needing to sell to ease their financial issues.
It was suggested that the Gunners could make a fresh move, but The Athletic claims that won't be the case.
The north London outfit assessed Aouar's on-and-off situations last term, and they are no longer interested.
Aouar could still end up in the Premier League this summer with interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs can't afford to pay for Aouar outright, and it is claimed that they are willing to swap Tanguy Ndombele.
Lyon have yet to respond to the offer. The club have the preference to cash in on Aouar to recover financial losses.
