Arsenal have ended their interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, a report from Football Insider claims.

The Jamaica international had a promising 2020/21 season for Leverkusen, registering nine goals and nine assists from 30 games.

With two years left on his contract, he has been touted to leave Leverkusen. The German outfit value him at around £35m.

The Gunners are long-term admirers of the forward, but have decided against an approach due to the player's attitude issues.

Villa, who recently beat the Gunners to Emiliano Buendia, are now favourites to lure the 23-year-old from the Bundesliga.

The west Midlands outfit are showing plenty of transfer ambition this summer after an impressive 11th-place finish last term.

The club are looking to break into the top 10 next season with a possibility of competing for the European qualification places.

Villa have also been linked with a move for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, who is valued at around £50m.
