Chelsea prepared to pay £130m for 41-goal striker
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given the green light for a big-money move for Erling Braut Haaland.
The Blues are keen on landing an elite striker, and the Borussia Dortmund star has emerged as the top transfer target.
Haaland netted a sensational 41 goals from as many games last term, and the Blues are eager to sign him this summer.
According to Football Insider, Abramovich is prepared to spend as much as £130m to bring Haaland to Stamford Bridge.
However, the Blues could still miss out on the Norwegian with Dortmund demanding £150m in a straight-cash deal.
It remains to be seen whether the west London giants can reach a compromise with Dortmund over the difference.
Dortmund could lose Haaland for just £70m next summer due to a release clause that becomes active in June 2022.
Despite this, they are hoping to keep hold of him in order to boost their chances of competing for the Bundesliga title.
