Chelsea set to loan out 25-year-old midfielder
Chelsea have decided to send Ruben Loftus-Cheek out on loan next season, a report from The Sun claims.
The England international spent the previous campaign with Fulham, making 31 appearances in all competitions.
He struggled to find consistency over the course of the season, ending up with just one goalscoring contribution.
According to The Sun, the Blues don't consider him as part of their plans, and are prepared to loan him out again.
They prefer to send him to the Bundesliga, but he could yet stay in the Premier League with Southampton interested.
The south coast outfit were keen on landing him last summer, but they were beaten to his services by the Cottagers.
They are likely to make another approach. There are suggestions that they could propose a loan deal with an option to buy.
It is unclear whether the Blues will accept their proposal. The hierarchy still believe Loftus-Cheek has a future at the club.
Loftus-Cheek has struggled to hit peak form since suffering a serious Achilles injury towards the end of the 2018/19 season.
