Juventus interested in Chelsea midfielder
Juventus could make an approach for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko if they fail to re-sign Miralem Pjanic from Barcelona.
The Bianconeri are eyeing a new central midfielder this summer, and they have earmarked Pjanic as their prime transfer target.
They have yet to make any progress towards signing him, and Corriere dello Sport claims that Bakayoko is the alternative option.
Bakayoko has not played for the Blues since 2018. He has spent the past three seasons away on loan at AC Milan, Monaco and Napoli.
The Bianconeri are aware of his success at both Milan and Napoli, and they could explore a loan deal with the option to buy.
The deal could be complicated by Bakayoko's contract status. He has entered the final year of his contract with the west Londoners.
The Blues' hierarchy may be reluctant to sanction another temporary deal unless Bakayoko puts pen-to-paper on an extension.
There are rumours that a 12-month extension clause on his contract has been triggered. No official announcement has been made.
