Arsenal clear favourites to sign striker with 30 goal contributions

Arsenal are reportedly favourites to land the signature of Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

The Argentine had an impressive 2020/21 season with Inter, bagging 19 goals and 11 assists from 48 appearances.

He formed a solid partnership with Romelu Lukaku upfront, but both of them could be leaving the club this summer.

Lukaku is currently the subject of a transfer bid from Chelsea, and he is reportedly getting closer to joining them.

Despite this, there remains speculation over Martinez's future. Eurosport claims that the Gunners are favourites to sign him.

They currently have a free run to land his signature. Inter are willing to sell him for a reported fee of around £65 million.

Tottenham Hotspur could enter the race if Harry Kane is sold. Owing to this, the Gunners are eyeing a quick transfer deal.

Martinez has been on the radar of Barcelona in the past, but they are unlikely to revisit their interest amid financial concerns.

The Argentine is reportedly very interested in playing in the Premier League.
