Manchester United plan fresh contract talks with Pogba

Manchester United are hopeful of negotiating a new contract with Paul Pogba and will meet his agent soon.

The Frenchman has less than 11 months left on his existing deal, and there are suggestions that he could leave on a free transfer.

He recently snubbed a contract extension, but United's hierarchy are optimistic that the midfielder will sign a new deal eventually.

According to The Mirror, fresh talks are planned with agent Mino Raiola as they look to secure the future of Pogba.

The midfielder was in stunning form against Leeds United on Saturday, registering four assists in the 5-1 triumph.

He has been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, but both are eyeing him on a free transfer.

Pogba will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January. United are keen to avoid the prospect.

United are currently top of the league standings after the first matchday. They take on Southampton on the road next.
