Arsenal finally reach an agreement to sign playmaker
Arsenal have finally reached an agreement to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.
The Norwegian had a positive loan spell with the Gunners earlier this year, and they were keen on re-signing him on a permanent basis.
It is now widely reported that an agreement has been reached for the transfer, and Odegaard has already undergone a medical.
The Gunners have paid around £34m for the playmaker with no add-ons. Real Madrid will have a first refusal for a future sale.
Odegaard is likely to make his second debut during the London derby against Chelsea on Sunday, provided the formalities are finalised.
An announcement is expected in the next 24 hours. He needs to be registered by mid-Friday in order to feature in the derby at the Emirates.
The 22-year-old does not require any quarantine as he was in a sports bubble at Real Madrid. He should be match fit after a full pre-season.
