Manchester United attacker could leave for £20m
Manchester United attacker could leave for £20m
Manchester United have reportedly slashed their valuation for Jesse Lingard ahead of the summer transfer deadline.
The England international was out-of-favour with the Red Devils last year, and he was loaned out to West Ham United in January.
The move proved a blessing in disguise. The attacker finished his temporary stint with nine goals and five assists from 16 games.
It is widely known that the Hammers would like to re-sign him, but they were recently put off by the £30m price tag set by United.
According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils have now slashed the asking price to £20m in order to invite bids for the forward.
The Hammers are still interested in his services, and they could make a late attempt to re-sign him if personal terms are agreed.
Lingard currently earns around £70,000-a-week at Old Trafford, and he is reportedly eyeing £100,000-a-week at his next club.
The Hammers are reluctant to offer any raise on his previous wages. That could prove a stumbling block towards a potential deal.
