Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes Jesse Lingard transfer decision
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to keep Jesse Lingard despite interest from Everton and West Ham United.
The attacker struggled for game time during the first half of last season. He was loaned out to West Ham at the turn of the year.
Lingard exceeded expectations during his time with the Hammers, registering nine goals and six assists from 16 matches.
According to Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer considers Lingard as a key player and plans to keep him for the campaign.
Lingard does not have the assurance of regular game time, but Solskjaer believes he would be a quality rotation player.
Both Toffees and Hammers are keen on signing him, and the final decision could lie on the attacker ahead of this month's deadline.
He has under 11 month remaining on his contract with the Red Devils. If he stays, there is a good chance of him signing a fresh deal.
Otherwise, he could be sold for a fee of around £20 million.
