Arsenal and Liverpool to compete for Brighton midfielder?
Arsenal and Liverpool could be among the contenders to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma in January.
Bissouma was heavily linked with the Gunners earlier this year, but they eventually decided to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Meanwhile, the Reds were fancied to sign him as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who left on a free transfer to PSG.
According to Metro, both clubs are still interested in the Mali international, and they could compete for his services in January.
Brighton's £40m valuation may have put them off this summer. His price tag could reduce in January, where he will have 18 months left on his contract.
Bissouma has also been linked with Manchester United. The Red Devils could potentially enter a bidding war for his services.
The Red Devils were urged by many to sign a defensive midfielder, but they decided against pursuing one before the deadline.
Their stance may chance at the turn of the year, particularly if Scott McTominay and Fred struggle to find consistency in their displays.
