Tottenham Hotspur to swoop for Chelsea contract rebel?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a surprise move for Chelsea contract rebel Antonio Rudiger.
The German has been a regular starter in central defence for the Blues since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel in January.
The club's hierarchy are keen to prolong his stay, but they have been unsuccessful in agreeing personal terms.
Rudiger's current deal expires in 10 months' time. He is free to negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in the New Year.
According to The Express, Spurs could revive their interest in signing Rudiger, who was previously on their radar last summer.
The club are planning an ambitious project under Nuno. They bolstered their defence this summer with Emerson and Cristian Romero
Spurs are now considering a surprise approach for Rudiger in case he is available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Rudiger is currently on £130,000-a-week. He is eyeing £200,000-a-week for a renewal, but the Blues have refused to meet his demands.
