Manchester United open to Jesse Lingard sale in January

Manchester United could sanction the sale of West Ham United target Jesse Lingard during the January transfer window.
Lingard spent the second half of last season on loan with the Hammers, bagging nine goals and six assists from 16 games.
The London outfit were fancied to re-sign him permanently, but the 28-year-old decided to stay put with the Red Devils.
According to Manchester Evening News, United are in contract talks with Lingard as his contract expires in 10 months.
There has been no progress thus far. They could be tempted to sanction a cut-price sale in January if there is no breakthrough.
West Ham are likely to return for his services at the turn of the year, but it has been claimed that Leicester City are also keen.
Lingard has made three appearances off the bench for United this term. He scored in the 4-1 triumph over Newcastle United last weekend.
However, he had a game to forget in midweek. He gifted Young Boys the winner in the Champions League group stage with a poor backpass.
