Haaland to United next summer?

Manchester United are interested in signing Erling Braut Haaland next summer despite the recent return of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo returned to the Red Devils after 12 seasons away. He has already made a terrific impact with four goals from just three games.

His presence will boost the club's Premier League title prospects, but the hierarchy are still looking to bolster the attack for the future.

Haaland has been a revelation at Dortmund, but he could leave them when a £65m release clause becomes active next summer.

United are long-term admirers of Haaland, and they were linked with his services before he joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg.

They are expected to try again for his services next summer, and believe they can lure him with the presence of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer managed Haaland at former club Molde. The Norwegian continues to have a good understanding with the young marksman.

The deal won't come cheaply with excessive agent fees. Haaland could also command a Premier League-record salary to join them.
