Chelsea weighing up fresh Jules Kounde bid?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a new approach for Jules Kounde ahead of the January transfer window.

The Blues were keen on bringing the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge this summer, but were unable to strike a deal.

They were willing to pay around €50m for his services, but Sevilla were adamant that they wanted at least €65m.

The club are likely to try again for him in January. It is reported that they will start negotiations prior to the transfer window.

The hierarchy are determined to avoid another setback, and want to offer Sevilla sufficient time to land a replacement.

The La Liga outfit were fancied to sign Sven Botman from Lille as a replacement, and they may return for his services.

The Blues have made a fine start to the new Premier League season. They are currently one point behind leaders Liverpool.
