Inter Milan make Bernd Leno transfer decision

Inter don't want Leno

Inter Milan are not interested in signing Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno during the January transfer window, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The Germany international was recently linked with a move to Inter with reports suggesting that he could replace Samir Handanovic.

However, Romano has dismissed the speculation citing that the Nerazzurri are likely to focus on signing Andre Onana from Ajax.

Onana will be a free agent when his contract expires next summer. Inter will seek to negotiate a pre-contract at the turn of the year.

The Gunners are also long-term admirers of the Cameroon international, but they seem unlikely to revive their pursuit of his services.

Onana was heavily touted to join the north London giants this summer, but decided against a move due to his ongoing drug ban.

He will only return to action from October. On top of this, he could miss an entire month of club action due to African Cup of Nations.

Onana wants the number one role at his next club. The Gunners may not assure him that after the recent purchase of Aaron Ramsdale.
