Christensen set for new Chelsea contract

Chelsea have reportedly agreed contractual terms with defender Andreas Christensen.

The Denmark international has been a consistent performer for the Blues under manager Thomas Tuchel.

He has regularly talked up a new contract, and Fabrizio Romano claims that an agreement is now in place.

The Blues are sorting out the final formalities, and it is a matter of time before he commits his future to them.

The west London giants are also in contract negotiations with Antonio Rudiger and captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Both players have their contracts expiring next summer. It is widely expected that Azpilicueta will extend his stay.

However, the same can't be said for Rudiger, who has been reluctant to pen terms amid differences over the salary.

He wants at least £200,000-a-week to sign a new deal. The Blues are reluctant to offer him more than £150,000-a-week.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs ahead of the January transfer window.
