Liverpool midfielder emerges as January target for Arsenal

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a potential return to Arsenal in January.
The England international is frustrated with his reduced game time at the Reds, and it is claimed that he could seek a winter exit.
West Ham United were linked with his services earlier this summer, and according to The Sun, the Gunners have now entered the race.
The north London club will be without Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny in January due to their African Cup of Nations involvement.
They are keen to provide cover in their absence, and have their sights on landing Oxlade-Chamberlain on loan with an option to buy.
The Gunners currently have five central midfield options in the squad, but Granit Xhaka is out for the long-term with a knee injury.
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are the other choices available, but the latter is eyeing a mid-season exit.
The Gunners are not actively looking to sell him, but may be tempted to do so if they can lure Oxlade-Chamberlain back to the club.
