Varane and Martial out for Atalanta cash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial won't face Atalanta tomorrow.

The Red Devils returned from the international break with a disappointing 4-2 Premier League defeat at Leicester City.

They will be keen to make amends in the midweek Champions League clash, but will have to contend without two players.

Martial sustained an injury on international duty, and Solskjaer has revealed that the midweek game will come too soon.

Varane is still nursing a groin problem, and he is expected to remain on the sidelines for Atalanta's visit of Old Trafford.

United have made a mixed start to their Champions League campaign, picking up three points from two group games.

They face a tricky challenge on their hands against Atalanta, who are one of the best attacking teams in the Serie A.

The club have the better team on paper, but won't have a straightforward task against the Bergamo outfit on Wednesday.
