Arsenal have no plans of recalling William Saliba from his season-long loan spell at Marseille, ESPN journalist Julien Maynard claims.

The Frenchman has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Gunners, having spent time on loan with Saint-Etienne and Nice previously.

Saliba was fancied to be part of Mikel Arteta's plans this season, but that has not been the case, and he is currently on loan at Marseille.

The 20-year-old has put in several top performances with the Ligue 1 outfit, but reports claim that the Gunners won't recall him in January.

Arteta still considers Saliba as a player for the future, and prefers to see the Frenchman continue his development with Les Phoceens.

Saliba's current deal does not expire until June 2024, but there are suggestions that he could push for an exit next summer.

The Gunners' hierarchy are not looking into his sale, but could change their stance if they receive a significant offer for his services.
