Vidic:I have to stop Messi n Eto'o

Nemanja Vidic, the commanding centre-back in the Manchester United squad, has stated that he will work hard to stop the Barca deadly duo - Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o.

The Serbian international said that it is his duty to put his best performance and try to stop the Barca attackers. He said that Messi is one of the best players in the world and it is not just him who will create problems for the Manchester United back line, "Messi is very good in one-on-one situations, Samuel Eto'o is an excellent striker. Hopefully we can prevent them from playing and get the result we need."

He said that he is fully fit and he is set to start the match even though he missed training at the Camp Nou on Tuesday evening. "We are a better team this season and we want to win trophies. Last season we played most of the games with the same squad. In the last few games we had a few injured players and this was the reason why we didn't play well in the semi-final."

Vidic was part of the United team who lost to Milan last season 0-3 in the semi-final second leg, with Kaka scoring two brilliant goals.
