Sardar Azmoun's agent dismisses Arsenal transfer talk
Sardar Azmoun's agent has dismissed the possibility of the striker joining Arsenal during the January transfer window.
The Gunners are braced for the exit of Alexandre Lacazette when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
Eddie Nketiah could also leave soon, and it was recently reported that the club are interested in landing Azmoun.
The Gunners have been fancied to make a mid-season approach for him, but his agent has ruled out the possibility.
Speaking to Soccer.ru, he revealed that any decision on his client's future is likely to be delayed until the end of the season.
He said: "Azmoun will not leave Zenit. If he leaves the club, it will definitely not be this season."
The Gunners are huge admirers of the Iranian, who has bagged 60 goals and 21 assists in 97 appearances for Zenit.
He has been linked with numerous Premier League clubs in recent transfer windows including Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old's deal with Zenit expires next summer. He could yet finalise a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.
