Donny van de Beek to Barcelona?

Barcelona are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan in January, according to Sport.

The Dutchman has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term, and he is desperate to leave the club.

He recently changed his representative, and reports claim that the Blaugrana will make an approach to land his services.

Van de Beek forged a solid midfield partnership with Frenkie de Jong at Ajax, and the two could be reunited at Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants are not in a position to secure a permanent move for his services, and they will propose an initial loan deal.

Van de Beek was linked with a loan move to Everton before the summer transfer deadline, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked the deal.

He was handed assurances of regular playing time, but that has turned false. He has played just six minutes in the top-flight so far.

The 24-year-old is expected to push for an exit in January, having recently been axed by Netherlands due to the lack of league minutes.
