Manchester United defender doubtful for Manchester derby
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Victor Lindelof is doubtful for the Manchester derby tomorrow.
The Red Devils recently suffered a setback with Raphael Varane picking up a hamstring injury against Atalanta in the Champions League.
Lindelof was absent for the encounter with a minor problem, and Solskjaer has now revealed that the Swede is doubtful for the derby.
A late fitness test could determine the centre-back's availability. Lindelof's absence may see Solskjaer shift to the regular 4-2-3-1 set-up.
He has started the last two matches with a three-man central defence. United won comfortably against Tottenham Hotspur by a 3-0 scoreline.
The story was different against Atalanta in midweek. They were defensively vulnerable and were lucky to come out of the game with a 2-2 draw.
Cristiano Ronaldo starred for them by scoring in stoppage time of both halves. He may need to replicate the showing in the Manchester derby.
United are unbeaten in the last four league meetings against Manchester City with three wins and one draw, but they are still considered underdogs.
