Manchester City to swoop for Arsenal star in January?

Manchester City have emerged as fresh contenders to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette during the January transfer window.

The Frenchman is approaching the final six months of his Gunners deal, and he can negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.

However, it has been reported that the Gunners prefer to cash in on his services. They could demand around £8m for him this winter.

Barcelona are already weighing up a January approach, but Calciomercato claims that the Cityzens could also join the striker's pursuit.

Pep Guardiola wants to add a specialist striker with experience this winter, and City will consider making an offer for the Gunners ace.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are already making plans to sign a new striker in January. Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic is the prime target.   

Talks have already been held with La Viola officials. A deal worth £68m has been verbally agreed, but Vlahovic has yet to be convinced.
