Arsenal midfielder doubtful to face Liverpool?

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey remains doubtful to face Liverpool in the Premier League next weekend.

The Ghanaian picked up a thigh injury earlier this month which forced him to miss the league clash against Watford.

He has since missed Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia, and is a big doubt to face South Africa tomorrow.

According to Goal.com, the midfielder is working hard to get fit, but remains doubtful for the Merseyside trip.

The Gunners are currently fifth in the league standings after six wins and two draws in the last eight matches.

They have struggled at Anfield over the past few years. They last won a league game at the stadium in 2012.

A tough test awaits them on November 20. They may benefit from a couple of key injuries in the Reds ranks.

Roberto Firmino is out with a hamstring problem while Sadio Mane could also be sidelined with a hip concern.

Mane picked up the knock playing for Senegal against Togo. He will be assessed ahead of the Congo game.
