Lingard to leave Man Utd in January

Manchester United are prepared to offload Jesse Lingard during the winter transfer window, The Sun reports.

The Englishman has less than eight months left on his contract, and he has no plans of extending his stay.

He has played just 62 minutes of league football this term, and reports claim that he could be sold in January.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils will listen to offers for Lingard this winter to avoid losing him for free.

They valued him at around £25m over the summer, but they are now willing to accept offers in the region of £10m.

West Ham United are widely expected to make an approach after being priced out of a summer transfer.

Lingard was hugely successful with the Hammers on loan earlier this year, bagging nine goals and five assists.

The Hammers finished sixth in the league standings last term, and they have continued to make progress this season.

They are flying high in third with 22 points. Lingard's return would boost their prospects of a Champions League finish.
