Barcelona midfielder Gavi makes Chelsea transfer decision

Barcelona sensation Gavi has no plans of leaving the club for Chelsea next summer, Spanish publication Sport claims.

The 17-year-old has had a tremendous breakthrough season for the Blaugrana, and recently made the top five for the Golden Boy award.

There has been speculation that the Blues could trigger the £42m release clause on his contract, but the Spaniard has no desire to leave.

His current deal expires in June 2023, but talks are already underway over an improved contract that would increase his buy-out clause significantly.

Gavi made his full Spain debut during October international break, and he has already become an undisputed starter for manager Luis Enrique.

The Catalan giants consider him as a key player for the long term, and it could be a matter of time before he extends his stay.

Ansu Fati and Pedri have already signed new long-term contracts. The club are also keen on handing a fresh deal for Ronald Araujo.
