Tottenham Hotspur keen on landing Barcelona attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on beating Manchester United and Newcastle United in the pursuit of Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

The France international will enter the final six months of his contract in January. He will be free to speak with foreign clubs.

United and Newcastle are among the player's admirers, but Marca claims that Spurs are also planning to enter the transfer pursuit.

Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici is eager to land the 24-year-old, having closely followed his progress since his Juventus days.

Dembele has struggled with several injuries during his time with the Blaugrana. He is currently nursing a hamstring problem.

Despite his current condition, he continues to attract high-profile interest. Spurs are hoping to lure him on a lucrative wage package.

Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is keen on keeping Dembele, but recently admitted that contract talks have not progressed.

The Frenchman has no plans of renewing his deal as he does not have the assurance of a regular starting role under Xavi Hernandez.
