Manchester United defender determined to keep his place
Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot is determined to keep his starting spot under manager Ralf Rangnick.
The Portuguese started the season as the deputy to Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the league games, but he recently replaced him after a hand injury.
Dalot put in a strong performance in the 3-2 win over Arsenal, and he replicated the showing at the weekend against Crystal Palace.
Wan-Bissaka was fit to play on Sunday, but Rangnick backed Dalot to continue at right-back after his impressive display against the Gunners.
Speaking to the club's official website, Dalot has now expressed his desire to keep his place and is ready to give everything on the playing field.
He said after yesterday's win: "When the opportunity comes, I now feel I need to keep going and give everything when I'm on the pitch too.''
Manchester United will be in European action against Young Boys in midweek before the visit of Norwich City in the Premier League.
