West Ham United plan contract talks with Liverpool target
West Ham United are ready to open contract negotiations with Jarrod Bowen amid the reported interest from Liverpool.
The Reds were heavily linked with the attacker during last summer's transfer window, but they did not make a formal offer.
Despite this, it is reported that they are keeping tabs on him, and they could renew their interest in his services next summer.
According to 90min, the Hammers are aware of the situation, and are prepared to reward Bowen for his recent progress.
The 24-year-old was ever-present for the Hammers last term as they qualified for the Europa League by finishing sixth in the Premier League.
The club are now pushing for the Champions League spots. Bowen has been influential with three goals and five assists in 15 games.
Bowen is currently the third-highest earner at the east London club at £96,000-a-week. He could be handed a 25 per cent hike on his salary.
This would make him the joint top earner alongside Kurt Zouma, who joined the Hammers from Chelsea in the last transfer window.
