Everton favourites to land former Arsenal man?

Everton have emerged as front-runners to sign former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey next month.

The Wales international has made just three Serie A appearances this season, and he is deemed surplus to requirements.

Juventus are looking to offload him at the earliest possibility and Calciomercato claims that the Toffees are favourites to land him.

The Merseyside outfit have made first contact with the Bianconeri, and they seem in pole position to land the versatile playmaker in January.

Newcastle United have also been linked with his services. The Tynesiders could yet provide fierce competition for the three-time FA Cup winner.

Ramsey was a huge hit during his 11 seasons with the Gunners, bagging 65 goals and 65 assists from 371 appearances in all competitions.

The 30-year-old has failed to settle since his move to Turin in 2019. Having fallen out-of-favour under Massimiliano Allegri, he is now open to a return to England.

The Gunners have been offered his services, but it appears unlikely that they will re-sign him as they are focused on pursuing younger players.
