Arsenal defender William Saliba provides future update
Arsenal defender William Saliba has said that he is currently focused on his loan spell with Marseille.
The centre-back joined the Gunners from Saint-Etienne in 2019. He has since been loaned out on three separate occasions.
He has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club, and there are doubts whether he has a future under Mikel Arteta.
Saliba has been in fine form for Marseille this term where he has made 23 appearances. The club are second in Ligue 1.
When asked about his future recently, the 20-year-old emphasised that he would like to focus on his current loan stint.
He told RTL:"I prefer not to speak about my future, but I'm very good here. I don't regret my decision. I have been very happy since day one. I have one year here and I am going to give my all."
Saliba will enter the final two years of his contract next summer, and there i a high possibility that he could be sold.
The Gunners signed the Frenchman for a hefty fee of £27m, and may look to recoup the entire sum if they offload him.
